TEACHERS WHO LOVE TEACHING, TEACH CHILDREN TO LOVE LEARNING
Miss Karen: I opened Four Seasons Pre School in September of 1981. I am still the owner thirty years later! I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and have taken many classes to further my education to ensure that the best decisions are always made for my staff and children that are enrolled. I always have the children’s best interest in mind when creating our curriculum, schedules and all programs at our center.
Miss Tracey: Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. I am the Director of Four Seasons Preschool and Karen's daughter. I have my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education as well as courses in Early Childhood and Administration. I started teaching pre-kindergarten at Four Seasons Preschool in 2006 and now I am able to assist in all of the classrooms. I love incorporating my philosophy of hands-on learning into all of the age groups! Miss Christina: I have been working with children since I was in high school. I graduated in May 2016 from Boston College with a degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development, and am pursuing my masters in Early Childhood Education. I have worked at Four Seasons Preschool on and off for the past 8 years, and entered the corporate world after graduation from Boston College, and quickly realized that my true passion was working with children and have been with Four Seasons since! I love working with children for many reasons, but seeing the looks on the children's faces when they finally master a skill that they have been working on for a long time is my favorite part. In my spare time, I enjoy staying active and spending time with my family and friends.
Miss Rachel: Hi my name is Rachel Polansky and I’m the pre-k teacher. I attended Salem State University and received a bachelor's degree in Education and Sociology. After a few years of teaching, I enrolled in graduate school and earned my master's in Early Childhood Education. Over the past ten years, I have worked with children in many different capacities. I have held positions as a para educator in general education classroom, as well as in substantially separate classrooms and as a lead teacher in an integrated pre-kindergarten classroom. I have been teaching pre-k at Four Seasons Preschool since 2010 and have fallen in love with the school and the age group. My goal as an educator is to keep my students excited about learning and to peak their curiosity about the world around them. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, walking my dog Toby and curling up with a good book. My husband and I are expecting our first baby this summer. We are very excited as we begin this next chapter in our lives and to meet our little girl.
Miss Dara: My name is Dara I went to Mt. Ida College and graduated with a bachelors degree in Child Development. Ever since a young age I have always wanted to become a teacher. I have been teaching since 2006. I have worked with all children birth to 5 years of age. In my spare time I love to do art and enjoy sporting events. Since 2013 I have been volunteering at the Boston children's hospital in my spare time.
Miss Beth: I have always had a passion for education. At Four Season Preschool, I am the Lead Teacher in the three-year old classroom. Throughout my time here, I have acted as an infant, toddler, and float teacher supporting classrooms and administration. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Education, I later relocated to Colorado for three years. There I functioned as a classroom aide for a non-profit preschool in Aspen. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, snowboarding, and kayaking. When I’m not at Four Seasons you’ll find me on the slopes!
Miss Leanne: Hi my name is Leanne and I have been working with children since I was 17 years old. I have a bachelor's degree in motor development therapy with a minor in psychology. In my free time I like to play sports and stay active as much as possible. What I love about teaching children is when they accomplish a task by themselves and seeing how proud of themselves they get.
Miss Carly:Hi my name is Carly. I have been teaching children since I was sixteen years old. I am working toward my bachelors degree in early childhood education. I love teaching and seeing the kids learn new things. In my spare time I like to listen to country music and go into Boston on the weekends.
Miss Traci:Hi, my name is Traci and I'm one of the infant teachers at Four Seasons Preschool. I have been teaching for over 20 years. My hobbies include spending time with my friends and family. My life is pretty busy being a single mom raising a 17 yr old daughter. Her name is Emily. She keeps me busy with her dancing and doing school musicals at Waltham high school. I love seeing all the infants grow and develop every day. I enjoy all the smiles they put on my face every day.
Miss Ashleigh: My name is Ashleigh Fay and I am one of the two infant teachers-I like teaching, playing with, tending to, and nurturing the babies in my care each and everyday! I enjoy watching them grow and develop in all areas and it's amazing how much the babies change from when they begin with us and before they transition to toddlers. It brings me joy to be such an integral part of their young lives. I went to Lesley University and graduated with my Bachelors degree majoring in Human Development and Family Studies and minoring in Education and Health. I have worked in the childcare field for over 15 years and I have learned so much from the children that I have taught and I have also gained an incredible amount of knowledge and skills from my co-workers and colleagues. I am a mom to two boys, Mason (age 6) and Nolan (age 4 months) and I am fortunate enough to be able to see all of Nolan's milestones as he is with me at Four Seasons and I am so grateful for that! My kids have taught me so much about myself as do the other infants in my care. I love being an infant teacher! I enjoy playing soccer, going to the beach, and watching sports on TV-I'm a huge Boston sports fanatic!
